Personenprofil
Kurzprofil
I am a historian of Southern Africa, with research and teaching interests in the history of economic institutions, financial intermediaries and business organisations. Although my work focuses on Africa south of the Zambezi, my primary research objective is in situating South African history within the history of the African continent, European imperialism and 19th century financial globalization.
I am more than happy to advise PhD students with an interest in African History, economic development, financial intermediaries and entrepreneurship.
