The movie nights at the Institute for South and Central Asian Studies are kicking off a new season.
The study of Indology and Central Asian Studies at our university began as early as 1830, resulting in a unique combination of classical Indology, modern South Asian Studies, Tibetology, and Mongolian Studies, which you can study exclusively at our institute.

We are pleased to announce a guest lecture by Professor Mark Siderits (Emeritus) from Illinois State University, a leading expert in Buddhist philosophy. Professor Siderits will be speaking on November 26, 2024, from 11:15 AM to 12:45 PM in Room M-103.
The Institute of South and Central Asian Studies at Leipzig University warmly welcomes Prof. Dr. Dagmar Schwerk as the new Professor for Tibetology, starting in October 2024.
